| Image 4 Looking from under the car you can see the exhaust manifold [under the heat shielding]. The short engine pipe is connected to the manifold with a spring loaded joint, the spring loaded joint is to absorb the east west engine movement. |
| Image 5 The factory centre section is all stainless steel, it consists of the catalytic converter and two resonators which helps with noise reduction on the standard exhaust & will help with the overal sound quality when we make our change. The only part thats restrictive is the catalytic converter. Replacing the original catalytic converter with a "high flow" catayltic converter won't increase the power in any way & won't be legal. if your thinking of changing to a "high flow" dont waste your money. |
| Image 6 The main restriction in the original exhaust system thats worth changing is the original rear muffler. By replacing this silencer we can get a slight power increase with a great sound. If we changed the centre pipe the car will loose low end performance |
